He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Cogburn and Jane Davis Cogburn; his sisters, Janie McArthur and Beth Keller; and his brother-in-law Thomas Darah.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Fowler Cogburn of Fayetteville; his sons, Steven of Jacksonville and John Cogburn of Jacksonville; and his siblings, Scott Cogburn of Jacksonville and Debbie Darah of Orlando, Florida.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
