Larry Gene Ventress Obituary
We announce the death of Larry Gene Ventress of Fayetteville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 77. Larry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Larry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Larry will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Larry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cullum Ventress and Stella Pigg Ventress; his siblings, Mary Katherine Spurlock (Vernon) and Paul Ventress; and his sister-in-law Karen Jenson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ventress; his brother Joe Ventress (Dayphine); and his brother-in-law Ray Taylor (Carmen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (213 Market St E, Fayetteville, TN 37334). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Rose Hill Cemetery (615 College St W, Fayetteville, TN 37334).
