It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Dobbins (Fayetteville, Tennessee), who passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Mary departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her father John H. Brown; her husband Nathaniel Dobbins, Sr.; her mother Frances Nelson Brown Knott; and her son Derrick Carnell Dobbins. She is survived by: her son Nathaniel Dobbins, Jr. (Windy) of Fayetteville, TN; her sister Linda Washington of Meridianville, AL; her daughters, Anita High of Fayetteville, TN and Sarah Ann Luper (McCloud) of Dallas, Texas; and her close friends, Jackie Smith, Connie Buchanan and Mattie Edmiston. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
