He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian G. Abel and Elizabeth Rusch Abel; his wife Barbara Sue Price Abel; and his son Robert Charles Able. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Renee Koehler (Kyle) of Kelso and Megan Abel of Shelbyville; and his great grandchildren, Emery Koehler, Adeline Koehler, Cason Winkles, Jayda Hosmer, Sophie Hosmer and Christian Hosmer.
