He was predeceased by: his father Johnny Locke; and his brother Eddie Vaughn. He is survived by: his mother Martha Locke; his children, Lisa Flowe (Jordan Hamlin) and T. J. Taylor (Nellie Swing); his grandchildren, Alexus, Brookelynn and Jordyn; and his siblings, Rosie Blevins (Paul), Glinda Howell (Jason) and Rex Locke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
