It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Ernest Wattenbarger of Fayetteville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Wattenbarger and Johnnie Simpson Wattenbarger; his grandson Scott Anderson; and his brother Don Wattenbarger. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Wattenbarger of Fayetteville; his daughter Lynn Walker (Tony) of Murfreesboro; his stepchildren, Treva Buntley (Freddy) of Fayetteville and Troy Doud (Kristy) of Fayetteville; his siblings, Bob Wattenbarger (Sue) and Harlene Read (Jeff) of East Tennessee; his granddaughter-in-law Tracey Anderson; his grandchildren, Parker Anderson, Ava Anderson and Ashley Bills (Jake); his stepgrandchildren, Kyle Buntley (Haley), Adam Buntley, Karston Doud (Madison), Kragen Doud and Karoline Doud; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Maizley Doud, Wrenlee Doud and Kenadee Doud; and also Logan.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Senior Center, 908 Washington Street W. in Fayetteville, Tennessee 37334.
