With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Pate of Franklin, Tennessee, who passed away on May 18, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. Hawkins and Ruth Hawkins; and her sister Jo Ann Hardin (Thomas Edward Pate). She is survived by: her children, Jean Anne Collier (Forrest) and Bob Pate (Amy); her grandchildren, Caroline Harrington (Cooper), John Forrest Collier (Carolyn), Thomas Collier, Hawkins Pate, Langley Pate and Hampton Pate; and her great grandchildren, Jack, Warner and Finn.

She remained the light of Tom's life even as his personality slowly faded through the long years of Alzheimer's disease.
