He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Sauerland and Eleanor Sauerland; and his sister Linda Hendricks. He is survived by: his wife Louise; his daughter Christine Scruggs; his grandchildren, Evan Scruggs and Olivia Gild; and his brother Jack Sauerland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, or the Williamson County Library Large Print Collection.
