He was predeceased by : his parents, Roscoe Tinsley and Juanita Tinsley; his former life partner Mamie Tinsley; his wife Patricia Tinsley; his son Jason Tinsley; and his siblings, Mary Jane Bean, Sue Tinsley, Rob Tinsley, Joe Tinsley, Major Tinsley, Ralph Tinsley and Iona Scoggins.

He is survived by : his children, Karen Daub and Tim Tinsley (Debbie); his siblings, Bud Tinsley, Norma Floyd, Margaret McKamey, Glen Tinsley, Ola Mae Trentham and Coy Tinsley; and his grandchildren, Dara McDonald, Natalie Daub, Will Tinsley, Andrew Tinsley, Rachael Tinsley, Stuart Shires and Sydney Shires. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 6th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the White Oak Baptist Church - Cleveland (2043 White Oak Valley Rd, Cleveland, TN 37312). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
