He was predeceased by: his wife Donnie Bennett Bruce; his mother Gladys Virginia Beard Bruce; his siblings, Jewell Canode, Clifton and Milton Bruce; and his great-nephew Ryan Bruce.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Ronny Mangrum (Elizabeth); his nieces, Tonya Dodd (Jon), Heather Bruce (Toby) and Jessica Mangrum; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jordan Bruce (Alecks), Jackson Dodd (Annah), Ashton Dodd, Justin Bruce, Will Dodd, Wesley Dodd, Jayden Bruce, Jocelyn Gearheart and Ari Bruce; his cousins, Donna Beard, Lillian O'Neal, Linda Williams, Connie Sue Alloway and Troy Maupin; his close friend Judy Richards; Lyila Bruce, Everleigh Dodd, Haven Bruce and Hattie Dodd.
