He was predeceased by : his parents, Gilford Holt and Mary Holt; his brother Murray Wayne Holt; and his grandson Rufus B. Jones, Jr. (Gary). He is survived by : his wife Shelia Polk Holt of Franklin, TN; his daughters, Frances Ann Holt of Spring Hill, TN, Mary Gray (Scott) of Lewisburg, TN and Brandy Holt Wood (Harvey, Sr.) of Franklin, TN; his sisters, Linda Clark (Dewey) of Chapel Hill, TN, Reba Kay Walser (Lew) of Gallatin, TN and Tammy Green (Richard) of Chapel Hill, TN; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Tompkins (Kylie), Joey Jones, Jessica Gillespie, Michael Jervis (Brittany), Harvey, Jr. Wood (Shelby), Amanda Mullins (Jason) and Tyler Wood (Sabrina). He is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and many other loving family members.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3009 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Johnson Hollow Cemetery.
