With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Porter (Franklin, Tennessee), born in Orlinda, Tennessee, who passed away on September 22, 2019 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Geraldine Porter to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Winnie Davis Wims; and her husband Woodrow "W. J.". She is survived by: her children, Priscilla Annette Taylor, Woodrow J. Porter, Jr., Patricia Ellis of Lakeland, FL and Pamela Wilson (Randall) of Chapel, TN; her sister Mary Sanders of Atlanta, GA; and her grandchildren, Carl Ellis, III, Patrick Ellis, Wendolyn Wilson, Randall Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Nash Legrand, IV, Melissa Legrand, Paige Taylor and Jessica Taylor. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
