He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvell Griggs and Erma Griggs; and his wife Mary Gale Pierce Griggs. He is survived by: his sister Glenda Mendina; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Bethany Griggs; his daughter Kimberly; his son-in-law Rori Acevedo Bello; his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Mary Katherine; his great grandchild Jade; and his close friend Molly (Jack Russell Terrier).
