With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Hughes Yancy of Franklin, Tennessee, who passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Winston Gill Yancy, Sr. and Annie Laurie Hughes Yancy; his wife Jo Ann Holt Yancy; his son Howard "Chuck" Hughes Yancy, Jr.; and his brother Winston Gill Yancy, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Candie Y. Westbrook (Larry Neil) of Franklin, TN and Jay A. Yancy (Sandra) of Brentwood, TN; his grandchildren, Laura Ann Westbrook and Tanner Ward Yancy (Catherine); his nephew Butch Yancy; his nieces, Peggy Yancy and Polly Ann Yancy; his great-nephew Craig Yancy (Carol); and his pets, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Shakespeare, Buddy and Beau.
