He was predeceased by: his daughter Susan Marie; his parents, James Covington and Jessie Covington; and his brother John Covington. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Pewitt Covington; his son Matt Covington (Stephanie); his granddaughter Caroline Colvin; his brother Mike Covington; his sister-in-law Pam Sheldon; his niece Amanda Bayne; his nephews, Kevin Sheldon (Cori) and Keith Sheldon (Summer); and his extended family Emily Jenkins.
