He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen H. Olenick and Frances M. [Hlebovy] Olenick; his siblings, Delphine C. McMichael, Mary Frances Rish and Stephen H. [Smokey] Olenick; and his brothers-in-law, Thomas R. McMichael, Michael Riley and Robert P. Rish.

He is survived by: his wife Olga J. [Vrabel] Olenick; his daughters, Megan [Deron] Hackney of Flushing and Molly Olenick of Franklin, Tennessee.; his sister Virginia C. Riley (Georgia) of Kennesaw; his sister-in-law Donna J. Olenick of Boardman, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Todd [Anna] Miller, Katelyn [John] Bishop, Grant [Julianne] Miller and Anna Grace Miller.
