He is survived by: his wife Tracii Patton; his daughter Danielle Patton; his grandchildren, Journee Patton, Janiyah Thornton and Octavious Thornton, Jr.; his siblings, Lola Bonds, Johnnie Hamilton, Annette Patton, John Nick Patton, III (Laura) and Kenneth Patton (Connie); and his brother-in-law Leon Mitchell Buchanan, Jr. (Deborah Ann). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The lying in state will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (1408 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lynn Creek Tabernacle (117 Fairground St, Franklin, TN 37064).
