She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Sanford; her parents, Homer E. Owens and Edna Scott Owens; her brothers, William Owen (Beth), Edwin Owen (Ann) and Bob Owen (Nancy); and her great grandchild Brock Michael Evans.
She is survived by: her sons, John Evans (Judy) of Columbia and Joe Evans (Bettye) of Byhalia, MS.; and her grandchildren, James Evans (Lindy) of Culleoka, TN., Jennifer Burns (Earl) of Duck River, TN., Joel Evans (Susan) of Biloxi, MS., Jeff Evans (Hallie), Chris Callaway (Casey) of Germantown, TN. and Kate Evans of Memphis, TN.. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (608 Mt Hope St, Franklin, TN 37064).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
