She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Elias and Cecil Edwards Lasater; her husband Edward Franklin Childress, Sr.; and her siblings, Randall Lasater, Sylvia Maat and Sue Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Franklin Childress, Jr. (Cindy) of Collierville and Charlotte Burns (Allen) of Franklin, Tennessee; her grandsons, Edward Franklin Childress, III (Becca) and Jonathan Burns (Amy); her sister Linda Bandy of San Antonio; her brother-in-law Ray Wilson of Little Rock; and her nephew Chuck Hornbuckle. She is also survived by nine beautiful great-grandchildren.
