With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Haynes Jones (Franklin, Tennessee), who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Martha may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She is survived by: her children, Genia Jones (Regis) and Carvey Jones (Shaday); her grandchildren, Kelani Underwood and Khalia Jones; her sisters, Minnie McKinney (Minister Charles), Susie Coure (Elder James) and Charlotte Holt; and her sister-in-law Francis Haynes. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The lying in state will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (1408 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the Lynn Creek Tabernacle (117 Fairground St, Franklin, TN 37064).
