It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ruth Gentry Herbert of Franklin, Tennessee, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, E. B. Gentry and Eugenia Gentry; her husband Thomas McEwen Herbert; and her sisters, Catherine Foster, Martha Waggoner and Jean Mangrum.
She is survived by: her son Randy Herbert (Malorie); her grandchildren, Tom Herbert (Lizzy), Dan Herbert and Olivia Lehning (Ben); her great grandchildren, Maggie Herbert, Mac Herbert and Evelyn Lehning; and her brother Charles Gentry. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home (3009 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (608 Mt Hope St, Franklin, TN 37064).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
