Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Baker and Marilyn Lyons Baker. He is survived by: his wife Connie Whitehurst Baker of Franklin, Tennessee; his daughter Lindsay Lovvorn of Franklin, Tennessee; his brother Danny Baker (Connie) of Joelton, Tennessee; his grandson Baker Lovvorn of Franklin, Tennessee; his sisters-in-law, Linda Whitehurst of Nashville and Brenda Gregory (Charlie) of Chicago, Illinois; and his niece Kerri Walden of Mt. Juliet. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Faith Independent Methodist Church (417 Ezell Pike, Nashville, TN 37217). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Independent Methodist Church (419 Ezell Pike, Nashville, TN 37210).
