It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Burnett Akin in Franklin, Tennessee, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugenia Jordan Akin and Andrew Kernan Akin. He is survived by: his wife Carole Saums Jones Akin; his children, Trudy Dedman (Alex) and Jim Akin (Loren); his stepsons, Kyle Jones (Kathy), Chad Jones (Tina) and Andy Jones (Meredith); his grandchildren, Gretchen Dedman, Samantha Dedman, Kelsey Akin, Alice Bea Akin, Jane Akin, Megan Jones (John Henry Brooks), Ryan Jones, Travis Jones (Megan), Katie Bellamy (Kameron), Emory Jones and Ford Jones; and his great grandchildren, Piper, Sadie Jones and Beckham Bellamy.
