With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Gary High of Franklin, Tennessee, born in Millersburg, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2026 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his son Corey Alan High; and his parents, Dr. Luther William High and Elizabeth Mae High (Hummel). He is survived by: his wife Jo Lynn High (Wiggins); his daughter Kristin Lynn Howell; his grandchildren, Justin Howell, Evan Howell and Kennedy High; his stepsons, Colby Knight (Heidi) and Josh Knight (Emma); and his stepgrandchildren, Tucker Knight, Fern Knight, Reed Knight and Abel Knight.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ United Methodist Church (508 Franklin Rd, Franklin, TN 37069). A memorial service was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the church in lieu of flowers.
