We bid farewell to Alta E. Thompson of Friendship, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 22, 2025 at the age of 94. Alta touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack M. Harper, Sr. and Margretta Lindsay Harper; her husband William Ernest Thompson Jr.; her son John Thompson; her siblings, Christine Walker, Mack M. Harper Jr. and Horace Harper; and her pet Angel.

She is survived by: her children, Ladd Thompson (Angela), Mark Thompson (Jan), Alan Thompson (Vicky), Gretta McRee (Ken) and Todd Thompson; and her grandchildren, Logan Thompson, Madelyn Thompson (Jon), Anna Doyle Heath (Seth), Jessica Meckstroth (Jacob), Taylor Puckett (Steve), Lindsay Chappell (Bailey), Ransom McRee (Delaney) and Lofton McRee.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, in remembrance of Alta's generous heart.
