She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph William Chandler and Sarah Tull Chandler; her husband James "Mack" Scobey; her brothers-in-law, James Dillard and Danny Vales; and her nephew Bill Dillard.
She is survived by: her children, Tilly Barnett of Friendship, TN and Woody Compton of Crawford, TX; her sisters, Judy Dillard (James) of Bolivar, TN and Carolyn Vales Kramer (Bob) of Bolivar, TN; her grandchildren, John Stearns, Samantha Daily, Lily Barnett, Colton Compton and Kelsey Ewing; her nephews, Jeff Vales and Jason Vales; and her niece Debbie Dillard. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Bolivar (109 Mecklinburg Dr, Bolivar, TN 38008). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Silerton Baptist Church Cemetery.
