We announce the death of Janice McCarthy (Friendship, Tennessee), who passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 72. Janice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Charles Sndyer Sr. and Janice Couch; her husband Charles McCarthy; her daughter Michelle Marsh; and her siblings, Mark, Edwin and Mary.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy Norton (Richard), Bernard McCarthy (Theresa), Charles McCarthy Jr. (Renee) and Robin McCarthy; her grandchildren, Anthony Marsh, Raychell Norton, Richard Norton III, Christopher Norton, Deanna McCarthy, Julie McCarthy, Justin Williams, Austin Williams, Charles Stewart, Chad Rider, David Rule, Richard Hyde and Vincent Hyde; her great grandchildren, Cloey, Jonathan, Emma, Lana and Bau; her brothers, John Snyder (Kathleen), David Snyder Jr. (Laura), Michael Snyder (Laura), Paul Snyder (Dawn), Tim Snyder (Crystal) and Joseph Snyder Sr. (Annie); and her friends, James Bevill (Tammy), Darrell Downer (Linda), JC Mechlin (Shannon), James Mechlin, Naomi Brandon, Paul Schneider (Lucy), Larry Chaple and Ben Muir.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Friendship Funeral Home (152 Main St, Friendship, TN 38034). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
