He was predeceased by: his parents, Hattie Shrum and Ike Shrum; and his siblings, Louella, Mary, Thomas, Hendry, Charlie and John.
He is survived by: his children, Don and Judy (David Mudgett); his granddaughters, Christina (Jason Garza) and Carolyn (Brandon Wagner); and his great grandchild Jason Garza Jr. (JJ). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to veterans' organizations.
