He was predeceased by: his parents, Affie Pitts and Jean Dyer Pitts. He is survived by: his wife Carrol Schrader Pitts; and his children, Stephanie Pitts Bolin (Greg), Robert Pitts, Carol Pitts, Aaron Pitts (Amanda), Bill Pitts (Patricia) and Todd Pitts. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
