He is survived by: his wife Rita Gillihan Poindexter of Gallatin; his parents, Floyd Poindexter and Betty Wright Poindexter of Gallatin; his stepdaughters, Shannon Stafford of Portland and Sandra Taylor of Bethpage; and his brothers, Allen Poindexter of Gallatin and James Earl "Buddy" Poindexter (Janie) of Bethpage. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
