He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edwin Palmer and Lela Christine Bennett Palmer; and his wife Mary Lee Palmer. He is survived by: his children, Mary Evelyn Wallen, Elizabeth Johnson, Charles Raymond Palmer, Jr., Roy Edwin Palmer (Sandy) and Rita Christine Happel; his sister Joyce DeGlopper; his grandchildren, Aaron Wilhite, Christian Happel, Alyssa Happel, Alexis Harris (James), Darrell Eugene Young (Kacey), Amy Young and Tara Reece Wilmore (Jay); and his great grandchildren, Jayden Hunter Young, Dawson Cooper Young, Kathryn Quinn, Annashayne Quinn, Adley Quinn, Carson Harris, Eli Wilmore and Allie Reece Wilmore.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home & Cremation (1623 Hwy 109 N, Gallatin, TN 37066). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
