He was predeceased by : his parents, William and Lillian; and his siblings, Kim Mears, Sharon Mears and Judy Drennon.

He is survived by : his wife Linda; his children, Timothy Mears of Manchester, Christopher Mears (Shayna) of Westland, MI, Summer Bradley (Justin) of Portland, TN, Paul Maxey (Jill) of Harrison Township, MI and Christie Page (Tim) of Mt. Juliet, TN; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Melanie, Emily, Haley, Collin, Andrew, Carlee, Noah and Brady.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home & Cremation (1623 Hwy 109 N, Gallatin, TN 37066). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
