He was predeceased by : his parents, Rue Hermas Borden and Leira Ellen Borden (Thompson). He is survived by : his children, Craig Rue Borden (Cindy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Jennifer Lee; his siblings, Ray Borden (Jeanie) of Scottsburg, Rue A. Borden of Lubbock, Texas and Lyndi Teipen (Tony) of Scottsburg, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Landry, Emily and JoJo.
