He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayward H. Covington I and Grace Nobles Covington; his sister Grace Campbell; and his granddaughter Kristi Breland. He is survived by: his wife Faye Brimm Covington of Gallatin; his children, Melinda Breland (David) of Natchez, MS, William "Bill" Covington (Sharon) of Castalian Springs, Carolyn Murphy (David) of Cottontown and Haywood H. "Hank" Covington, Jr. of Castalian Springs; his stepson Ronnie Darnell (Tammy) of Gallatin; and his grandchildren, Grace Covington, Amanda Breland, Ashley Johnson, Alicia Darnell, Zachary Darnell, Allison Darnell (Cody), Amber Darnell and Joshua Darnell. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
