He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Soares and Carmen Soares; and his brother Frank Soares. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Soares; his sons, Jeremy Schlesinger (Lindsay), Jason Soares and Jared Soares (Makenzie); and his siblings, Elaine Dias, Manuel Soares and Annette Indaburu.
