She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Franklin Turner and Annabel Murray Turner. She is survived by: her husband Dean Bates; her children, David F. Bates (Ashley) of Gallatin and Jennifer Bates of Bethpage, Tennessee; and her brother Frank Turner (Judy) of Knoxville, Tennessee..
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rehoboth United Methodist Church (2601 Cages Bend Rd, Gallatin, TN 37066).
