He was predeceased by: his father James Caldwell; his wife Ruth Johnson Caldwell; and his siblings, Bobby Caldwell, Rebecca Stewart, Donna Sue Ray and Freda Frazor.
He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Neal (William Watson) of Castalian Springs; his brother Jimmy Caldwell (Faye) of Gallatin; his grandchildren, Amy Hickson (Jeff) and Brian Williams (Tisha); and his great grandchildren, Cade Hickson, Carson Williams, Rheadan Williams and Saylor Williams.
