He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolly Edward Starner and Cordelia Patchett Starner; his wife Sandra Wygle Starner; his daughter Shirley Brown; and his siblings, Harold Starner, Bill Starner, Lee Starner and Betty Thibaut.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Starner (Debby) of Christiansburg, VA, Gary Starner (Kathy) of Hendersonville, Kevin Starner (Deb) of Lafayette, Kari Sykes (Donnie) of Hartsville, Corinna Huffine (Edward) of Hartsville and Ryan Starner of Gallatin. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
