It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Thorne Raff of Gallatin, Tennessee, born in Great Falls, Montana, who passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mary Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Elizabeth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Kandilas and Anna Kandilas; her siblings, Agnes McNeil (Harry), Ida Sweeney (Max) and Dan Kandilas (Berta); her former husband Frederick Thorne; and her husband Julius Raff.
She is survived by: her daughter Jacqueline Thorne Hill (Randy); and her granddaughters, Kayla Clark (Paul) and Jenna Hill. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
