“I just became aware of Mike's passing, and I just had to send condolences to the family although I have only ever met Kristen while working at UIS in 2008. Mike had a heart of gold. While I was going through a personal family crisis during my time there, Mike did everything he possibly could to help me back up on my feet, and ever since then I have felt a debt of gratitude toward him that I wish I'd been able to personally express.
