He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Burns and Marguerite Burns (Thurman). He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Burns; his children, Amy Bye (Tony), Andrew Burns (Renae) and Rebecca Hattery (Jason); his stepchildren, Lora Whittemore (Mark) and Kevin Lamb (Leigh); his grandchildren, Seth (Kassidy), Spencer (Brynn) and Claudia; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew, Brian, Braydon and Addison; and his great grandchild Sonora. He is also survived by niece and nephew.
