He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Birdwell of Knoxville and Mary Butner of Gallatin, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Daniel Birdwell (Katie), Colton Birdwell (Chelsea), Ryan Kocher, Jacob Kocher (Blakely) and Jordan Butner; and his great grandchildren, Hensley Birdwell, Harlyn Birdwell, Jaycie Vandergriff Birdwell, Ady Webb Birdwell, Finn Webb Birdwell, Addison Kocher and Bobbi Ann Kocher.
