He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Edward Carmack and Vessie Gourley Carmack; his wife Geraldine Gantt Carmack; his great grandchild Gabriel Jackson; and his siblings, James Carmack, Dorothy Jones, Elizabeth Palmer and Janell Hoover.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Carl Carmack, Jr. of White House and Cathy Ryan (Tim) of Gallatin; his sister Katherine Campbell of Gallatin; his grandchildren, Stacey Jackson and Sarah Rauschenberger; and his great grandchildren, Haley Jackson, Riley Jackson and Addy Jackson.
