She was predeceased by : her husband Canon H. P. Minton, Jr. (Pete); her birth parents, Katherine and William B. Potter; her adoptive parents, Elizabeth Smith and Beasley Smith; and her siblings, Bill, Daniel, Tommy, Marie, Kathleen, Skippy and Dottie.
She is survived by : her children, William Beasley "Bill" Scales (Lori) of Eureka Springs, AR, Ellsworth Stevens "Steve" Scales (Anita) of Daytona Beach, FL, Elizabeth Scales Mayo (Randy) of Foley, AL and Henry P. Minton III (Tonya) of Franklin, KY; her brothers, Richard and Tim Potter; and her caregiver Holly Wade. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
