The passing of Sandra Wright Upton in Gallatin, Tennessee, born in Florence, Alabama leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Wright and Motier Wright; her brothers, Don Wright and Paul Wright; and her brother-in-law Bill Haynes.

She is survived by: her children, Alicia Georgiou (Chris) and Jason Upton (Ellie); her grandchildren, Emma Georgiou and Sheldon Upton; her sisters, Peggy Haynes and Sharon Williams; and her former husband Jon Upton (Vicki). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hydrocephalus Foundation.

“Peggy, Sharon and Alicia May God put his arms around you and comfort you at this time. This has left a big hole in my heart!! I loved Sandra and all of the Wrights. Your home was always open and everyone was so gracious. Us girls had a wonderful time, in junior high dancing and acting silly in your driveway to the spend the night parties in high school. You were so fortunate to have such wonderful parents and I was so fortunate to be one of Sandra‘s friends. She will be greatly missed!”
