She was predeceased by: her father Isaac Howard; and her siblings, Bill Howard, Ray Howard, Anna Mae Bennett, Claudia Taylor and Molly Davis.

She is survived by: her husband Ralph Butts of Gallatin; her daughters, Kim Bay (Jim) of Knoxville and Mary Butner of Gallatin; her grandchildren, Jordan Butner, Jake Kocher, Ryan Kocher, Daniel Birdwell and Colton Birdwell (Ashton); and her great grandchildren, Hensley Birdwell and Harlyn Birdwell.
