He was predeceased by: his father John B. Reecer; his former wife Joyce Reecer; his wife Shirley Reecer; his siblings, Clyde Reecer, Lassie Potts, Audrey Cherry, Clifford Reecer and Haskell Reecer; his son William "Bodie" Reecer (Mike Owen); and his grandsons, Josh Owen and David Reecer.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Irene Reecer; his children, Lillie Searcy (Chris) and David Owen; and his grandchildren, Courtney, Victory Searcy, Brandon Reecer, Jonathan Keith, Mike, Thomas Owen and Jason Owen. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
