Herbert Caldwell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2025, at the age of 96, Herbert Caldwell (Gates, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Herbert is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Herbert's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Caldwell and Lillian Pearl Phillips Caldwell; and his siblings, Bill Caldwell, Thelma Wells and Zelma Hellums.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Lee Caldwell of Brownsville, TN; and his daughters, Shelia Kay Shackleford (Tommy) of Byhalia, MS and Pamela Moore (Bill) of Byhalia, MS. He is also survived by four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Allen Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 5533 Hwy 79 N., Brownsville, TN 38012.
