He was predeceased by : his parents, Buford Irvin and Carrie Louise Escue (Hargett); and his sister Nancy Smith. He is survived by : his children, Kari King (Brandon) of Halls, TN and Josh Escue (Emilee) of Oakland, TN; his grandchildren, Nolan Escue, Lynlee Escue, Eden King and Ellie Claire Escue; and his close friends, Charlie Bates and Annette Bates.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Halls Funeral Home (109 N Church St, Halls, TN 38040). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
