He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurley Johnson and Minnie Neece Johnson; and his sisters, Madeline Gatlin, Christine Long and Jeweldine Bates.
He is survived by: his wife Karita; his children, Diane Waldo (Mike) of El Paso, TX and Mark Johnson (Tonia) of Ten Mile, TN; his sister Melba Cahella of Kelso, TN.; his grandchildren, Kevin Brown (Amy), Olivia Johnson, Aaron Johnson and Madylin Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Kendall and Lincoln Brown. He is also survived by his friends and neighbors.
